A removals firm that would rather be simple than impressive
OOT Removals is a nationwide UK removals company. We move houses, flats, offices and whole lives — across a street, across the country, and out to four European destinations.
The name
OOT Removals. Two circles and a word. It is not an acronym for anything clever and we are not going to invent a story about it — it is short, it is easy to say on the phone, and it fits on the side of a van.
No base town
Plenty of removals websites open by telling you which town they are from, and then quietly serve the whole country anyway. We work nationwide, so there is no shopfront address on this site, no fabricated local-search claim, and no invented home town.
What that means in practice: the vehicle comes to you. There is no collection radius and no surcharge for being the wrong side of an imaginary line. A move from Cornwall to Northumberland and a move from one street to the next are priced the same way — by what the work actually involves.
How we price
Somebody looks at the job before you get a number. Video survey for most moves, in person where the access or the volume makes it worth doing. That survey produces a written inventory, and the inventory produces the quote.
It is slower than a box that spits out a figure when you type in two postcodes. It is also the reason the figure does not change on the day, which is the only measure of a quote that matters.
Who actually turns up
Employed crews, not a chain of subcontractors you have never spoken to. The people who load your house are the people who unload it. On long-distance and European work that matters more than anything else on this page, because a handover is where things get lost and where nobody is quite sure who broke what.
What we do not do
House clearance and waste removal is a different trade with a different licence, and we do not pretend otherwise. Gas and plumbing disconnections need a qualified engineer — we will happily work around one, but we are not going to do it ourselves. Vehicles go on a transporter, not in the back of a removals lorry.
Four things we are not claiming
Most removals sites carry a strip of trust signals near the top. Ours does not, and this is the section explaining why rather than a gap we hoped you would not notice.
No star rating
We have not collected reviews yet, so there is no score to show you. When there are real ones, they will appear with names attached and you will be able to tell they are real.
No trade badges
Association logos are easy to put on a page and hard to verify. We are not displaying any we have not earned.
No years-in-business count
A number on a page proves nothing about whether your wardrobe arrives intact. Judge us on the survey and the quote, which you can see before you commit to anything.
No price before somebody has looked
Every instant online figure is a guess that gets revised later. We would rather look first and be right once.
